Lala Kent and Randall Emmett Finally Settle Custody Battle

Just days before Ocean’s big day, Kent surprised fans with major news: her long-running custody battle with Emmett has come to an end.

“The custody battle is over. It’s officially ended. We’re done with it, so there’s my tea for the day,” Kent revealed during a March 4 Amazon Live session. “After over three years, we have signed an agreement that is best for our daughter, Ocean. So I’m very, very happy about that.”

The reality TV star admitted that the legal battle had been an emotional rollercoaster, weighing heavily on her heart and soul. “I’m sure it’s been the same for my ex, and I’m just so happy that we were able to get to a good place for the well-being of our kid,” she added.

Lala Kent’s Second Child: A New Chapter Begins

While Kent’s journey with Ocean has been one of resilience and love, she made headlines again when she chose to conceive her second child via a sperm donor. Her decision to undergo intrauterine insemination (IUI) was deeply personal, and she didn’t shy away from addressing the misconceptions surrounding it.

“The outside world is funny. Not everybody is as progressive as we are, and I just felt like, ‘OK, I’m bringing this baby into the world because I so badly want it to be here. But I also want to eliminate as many questions as I possibly can,’” Kent shared on a March 2024 episode of her Give Them Lala podcast. She added that she wanted her child to have a similar aesthetic to herself, her mom, and Ocean, explaining, “The world is already tough when you come from a totally normal family. I don’t want to make it any tougher for them.”

Her wish became a reality when she welcomed her second daughter, Sosa, in September 2024.

“My little dream baby entered the world. I am completely in love with her — We all are,” Kent wrote via Instagram. “Sosa, you have no idea what you have brought into my life. I am blessed to call myself your mama. Welcome to our crazy world, boo boo. We are so happy you’re here .”
